The following is a repeat of the first page of the last Guardian newsletter. It is for all legacy members and subscribers.
We feel the need for member/subscriber input or response is important enough to send it to you again. Thank you for being a member/subscriber of our association for all these years and taking the time to read and understand the concerns we have regarding the continuation of our association.

The directors have been discussing the longevity of our association.
- Membership is declining
- Directors have served very long terms.
- Our existing funds will last to the end of 2026.
Our aging and declining membership and the loss of two board members and our newsletter editor make it clear that we need to make some decisions about the future of the organization. The current directors have been serving for a long time, and many are considering retiring for a second or perhaps third time.
When the 14 state AUSWR organization was discontinued in 2013, the current board stepped up to keep our local association operating. If you are interested in doing the same in the event the board decides to propose discontinuing the association, contact and talk to any of the directors listed on the last page of The Guardian newsletter. You might want to join the board for the monthly call and learn what is involved. Recognizing that there is a lot of enjoyment and rewards for serving those who retired from our company, but it also involves some time and commitment.
It is likely that our website ctlretirees.org will continue to operate. It will continue to notify us of telephone retiree deaths (milestones) and provide good information about the company and interesting stories as long as you, the members, provide input.
The Board will continue to discuss the future of our association and consider feedback that we receive from members. If you want the organization to stay active, now is the time to get involved. Look to future issues of The Guardian newsletter for more information.
